We will see. If it was truly a dumpster fire we would struggle against the weaker teams but we've dominated them more than we have in a few years. Let's see what happens with Auburn, a solid win and I will start believing again. A sloppy win or lose and we will be in trouble.

Auburn should be a must win. That's a really bad football team that lucked out against Cal. Texas A&M is better at every position group.

No excuse not to win our first two SEC games against Auburn and Arkansas. I do not want the first 6 games of 2023 to be a repeat of the first 6 games of 2019. In 2019, we started 3-3 with 2 wins over cupcake teams and one SEC win over Arkansas and losses to Clemson, Auburn, and Alabama. The first 6 games of 2023 schedule mirrors the first 6 games of 2019. Like in 2019, we played a road game against an ACC opponent in game 2 (this time at Miami instead of at Clemson), host Auburn in game 4, play Arkansas at Jerry World in game 5, and then host Alabama in game 6. A 15-point loss at Miami was disappointing, but a loss at Auburn at home would be inexcusable. Even worse, that would mean first-year Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze improves to 3-0 at Kyle Field (2-0 at Ole Miss with wins at Kyle Field in 2014 and 2016) and becomes the 3rd Auburn head coach to beat Jimbo Fisher.

Before the season started, I thought the back-to-back games against Alabama and Tennessee would be our toughest stretch, and we would be lucky to even split those games. Now, I think both games are winnable. Yes, Tennessee has a bye week before paying us on 10/14, but Tennessee hasn't looked great so far. After 3 weeks, I now think the road game at Tennessee is our most winnable road game. The road games at Ole Miss and LSU will be brutal, especially if Ole Miss and LSU are still in SEC West contention when we play them on 11/4 and 11/25 respectively.

Goodness…..there's a whole lot opinionated nonsense that's based on pure emotion in this thread. It's never as good or bad as it seems. This team has a lot of growing to do but it ain't that bad. I expect them to win all 4 of these games. None of the four teams are scary. I like the match ups. Road games are a whole other ball of wax and concern me until this team proves they can handle the pressure of going on the road. But to act as if they have no shot or are incompetent is just emotional scarring.

I think we could go four and oh. There's enough talent. We have a really good, perhaps great, QB. Petrino play calling is working out pretty well. Perhaps this game will light a fire. We could be five and one going into Tennessee, primed for an upset.

Corey Weigman delivered a perfect strike to Ainias, but Anias was the one who slipped and fell down, not Corey. Those things go our way and we might be talking about a different outcome.
