Never watched this silly preseason show "The Herbie Awards" until tonight. I was clearly bored.

Two takeaways. Aggies overunder for wins is 8.5 and Kirk took the under.

Then he gave the grand prize to … surprise surprise.. an Ohio State player, Marvin Harrison jr

I lost all respect for him ever since he cried like a little b+*** on national television

He used to be a professional. I don't know exactly what happened to him over the last 10 years, but he is a beating to watch now.

I got yer Herbie award right here... (middle finger salute)

He was the best in the business for a while, but it didn't last.

He's being lazy. Vegas has our total set at 8 and it's juiced heavily towards the over. Basically 8 or 9 wins is the most likely. He bumped up his total so he could go "under" to the actual number Vegas posted. Moving the goalposts to stir things up.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is a beast though. Plus he's a junior so he'll be featured heavily from the first game.

He's definitely a top 5 pre-season college WR...so not a huge stretch (albeit, think OSU has an unknown QB issue just like Bama and could have an effect on said results).

But was hoping ESPN would elim Herb and just revamp that show (although it's going to be worse w that horse's arse named McAfee). I'm just not going to watch as it's all a facade.

Someone watches anything other than live sports on ESPN?

If I ever gambled on the Aggies, I'd probably take the under too. There are 3 extremely difficult games on our schedule and several others that we could easily screw up. I'm optimistic on the season, but wouldn't be with my wallet.

I stumbled into it flipping the channels and was bored. I also was curious to see if they would mention A&M and they did.. including Petrino. his side kick (can't remember his name) said what happens when there's two three and outs in a row... will Jimbo take back play calling

Top 5??? Dude.... He's 100% going to be the first WR taken in the draft next year. Easily a top 5 pick.

Under 8.5 is a completely reasonable take. It's back to the mean and we have tons of questions to answer before objectively expecting better than that. I'd argue the over would probably be a "Bold Prediction" from anyone not TAMU affiliated.

Y'all loved him when he said that the 12th Man is the best student section in the country.

I actually really liked Herbie for a long time but over the last 5 years he has become annoying as heck. The whole Gameday crew has gone downhill fast over the last 5 years.

Corso is painful and needs to retire. The Bear was a nice little side bit but is very tiresome now as they have added more and more to his schtick.

They have too many people on the table and it is a mess to follow what used to be very good show.

We will see what changes they make this year.

SEC has a better gameday show, imho at this time.

We are an 8-4 coached team. We expect better and should expect better given the resources. But nothing there should bother us. We underachieve unless we catch lightning in a bottle with a once in a generation QB. I expect 10-2, but not being biased I would guess 7-5 because Aggie teams always find a way to stumble.

Fox's Big Noon Kickoff show is much better than ESPN's Gameday.

Gameday is so trite and repetitive.

From what I'm hearing from a buddy that has lots of coaching experience and has been lucky enough to watch two Saturday practices I have raised my win totals to 9-10. Staying healthy and qb play is the key.
