By now, everyone knows Hugh Freeze is a sleazebag. But did you know that the 2009 movie "The Blind Side" is a Disney-fied version of how Freeze took advantage of a poor child and circumvented recruiting regulations
Hugh Freeze was the head coach at Briarcrest Christian High School, where he recruited Michael Oher to play for him in high school. Freeze then arranged for Oher to be "adopted" by rich Ole Miss alums Tuohy and recruited to Ole Miss.
In exchange, Freeze was hired by Ole Miss the next season as their recruiting coordinator.
Also, it turns out that the Tuuohys didn't actually adopt Oher, but instead just became his conservators, which allowed for them to profit off Oher.

This is a Wild story: Former NFL player Michael Oher, the subject of the 'Blind Side' movie with Sandra Bullock has claims that a central element of the story was a lie concocted by the family to enrich themselves at his expense.
