It's hard to stream live sports cuz my internet is slow. Would any service be better than others for this?
You can get Dish or DirecTV. Dish is considerably cheaper and will give you all of the SEC football games.

Yes…cable or satellite…you need roughly 7 Megabits per second worst case for an HD stream. Though the services should detect bandwidth somewhat, exceeding the requirement by roughly 2-3x is preferred. And avoid all other network usage if at minimums.vin diesel said:

I just switched to Hulu from DirectTV and have a question about recording games. Suppose a game goes beyond the scheduled time, as they usually do. Does Hulu keep recording untill the game is over or should I set the next game on the same channel to record just to be sure?
It's been a long time, but for me the Hulu Live interface was just terrible. I found YTTV to be much easier to navigate.LatinAggie1997 said:
I've used Hulu + Live for cfb and had no issues. For those that know, why makes YouTube TV better?
Don't know where you live or what services you have available. I have AT&T 2 GB internet, and I have no problems at all with streaming whatever I want.vin diesel said:

If you have an ESPN subscription through your streaming service, then you can watch the game on the ESPN app and not have this problem.TyperWoods said:
Whichever one you choose, be prepared to miss 3/4 of the 1st quarter at least due to the Colorado State vs. Akron game going long.
Admittedly, I make most of the football ball games in person, so I might not have as much experience dealing with this, but I haven't encountered this problem with the app. I wonder if it depends on how you access the game? On the ESPN app, you can follow the link to a channel, and I could see where that would result in the same problem, but I usually follow the specific link to the game, and in my experience, that has gotten me to the game and not the linear channel.greg.w.h said:
Your comment is accurate to a great extent except if it's on a linear that they shift to ESPNN sometimes without promptly putting the listing up where you can find it…at least historically. And almost all football games are in linears. The one time when just being on SECN+/ESPN+ is an advantage…

I switched to YTTV a month ago. I don't care for the app's interface, but I'm saving $26 per month over DirecTV Stream. It works fine. I simply don't like the layout.
On the first question, you might see some different ads, but not additional adds on YouTubeTV. Sometimes, you can skip the add that is playing to watch a "Zen" video.Stat Monitor Repairman said:
If you got youtubeTV do you see additional ads on youtubeTV?
Also does having YoutubeTV kill the ads on regular youtube?
Their search is poor, but I would check linear channel then the alternate broadcast channel and check SECN/SECN+. They were late putting the stream up. Hopefully fixed now. Have t run into lately tbh.twk said:Admittedly, I make most of the football ball games in person, so I might not have as much experience dealing with this, but I haven't encountered this problem with the app. I wonder if it depends on how you access the game? This. YouTube TV would be great, but I refuse to use any Google products that I can avoid.trailrunner said:
I don't have any streaming services year round. I used Sling for football season only. I think I had to get Sling +blue. Will be doing the same this year and then canceling after the season.
Edit: It looks like it's Sling +Orange actually.
Fubotv would be an alternative. Bonus is you dont pay for CNN either.ArmyAg97 said:This. YouTube TV would be great, but I refuse to use any Google products that I can avoid.trailrunner said:

Cinemax shows the same movies all month long. I'm not trying to watch anything first run. I can stream it before the scheduled showing. I just have to search on the movie title. I should be able to stream it directly from the program guide, something DirecTV Stream allowed me to do.
