  • I think it's based on hype rather than production, but everything we are hearing coming out of the spring and the offseason is that Noah Thomas is turning heads all the time. Jimbo Fisher said he is a starter. Every player you talk to says to watch Noah Thomas.
     
  • He has huge height. The hands are good. He has gotten bigger. The 50-50 ball can become an 80-20 ball with Noah Thomas. He could be the offensive breakout player of the year.
     
  • I used to hear all about Michael Crabtree. Everything we heard was right. I've heard the same about Noah Thomas. It may be similar. We are hearing that he could make a significant impact.

I sure hope he turns out to be what everyone is saying he is...he will definitely get plenty of opportunities this year if we pass as much as is being touted.

Looking forward to watching Noah have a great year.

The design of Jimbo's offense will limit Noah's contribution as a first year starter. Rather than forcing advantageous one on one matchups it depends heavily on adjusting routes based on the coverage. It's complex and requires the QB and receiver to be on the same page. Don't really see that happening with a first year starting receiver.

Correct, and Petrino's offense is based on shorter routes with more direction, both benefit a guy with the size of Thomas
