I'd expect momentum coming out of the pool party, not going into it (though we do have some momentum).

If I remember right, most people were calling the pool party 2 years ago a "bust" because of few immediate commits...but it was a springboard into the best class of all time (which is still ridiculously loaded, even if you remove the guys we lost).

Yep. We ended up landing 9 2022 recruits who were at that party. Not counting guys already committed....

We landed two players in August who were at the pool party. Bryce Anderson on 8/6 and Smoke Bouie on 8/13.

We landed our 3rd and 4th on 11/6 in Walter Nolen/Chris Marshall on the same day. We landed 15 players from November 6th on, and 7 of those 15 were at the pool party. So basically 9 commits who were on campus during that party, and only 2 committed within three months of it.

I expect anywhere from 2-4 Late July / August commits following the pool party. Then, especially if we have a good year, we end up landing about 7-9 total overall who attend, most of which in November/December.

Names of who will be attending the pool party are starting to slowly come to the surface.

Kobe Black is one of those names.

This should be a very nice event for both visitors and commits.

Wouldn't be surprised. This year seems more like 2022 than 2023. The list I saw included names and was just to a little taste. There are a few guys that don't want their names leaked which means they are probably 5 stars either leaning somewhere or committed elsewhere.

Everyone should be impressed come Sunday.

Maybe numbers wise. Quality wise on the roster, we are depleted and have been for at least 5 years. It's been the ongoing hole in the defense and the reason they can't get off the field. Cooper is the only proven starter. You need 6 linebackers who are SEC ready at that position group. Three starters with capable backups. We have never had more than one quality starter during the last 5 seasons. Meaning we have competed at a (-5) at that position group all that time.

When you're taking guys who are lower-rated, you should assume most won't pan out. Like most of our's had not thru last season and prior. Buddy & Edgerrin have been the only 2 to make a name these last 3-5 years, it seems…

We do need to sign several this year and then maintain 2-3 every cycle.

Wrong. We run a base 4-2-5. We want to use 2 LB a majority of the time but be able to move to 3-3-5 when necessary without changing the personnel.

We need 4 maybe 5 solid LB ready to play every year with a couple projects or depth pieces.
