Looks like King is second string to a RS F; Demas is nowhere to be found and an LSU report on their spring game stated that it was "notable" that Harris wasn't a starter.

Not sure why we are concerned about these guys since they are no longer on the roster. The fact they were screwups up here is a pretty good indication that they will be screwups wherever they go. As they say when they fire someone.....good luck in your future endeavors.

Off season; just a little "FYI" post. Your name suits you.

Thanks for the update. I just figured I'd let you know I enjoyed reading it, since there's an old fart who had to pop up and complain about it.

I think it's an interesting tidbit since every media outlet was reporting a mass exodus and Aggies wouldn't have enough players to field a team this year. And some Aggies even fell for it and thought it was the end of our program. This thread is just one of several regarding those kids whom left (kicked off the team) that reinforces many ags need to ignore the media and support the team. We will be fine. We just needed a little calibration of our recruiting tactics.

I will be really surprised if Denver Harris doesn't end up a great player at LSU. He needs to grow up for sure, but the kid is a player.

You can add to this Marshall being kicked out of his 2nd school in his first year.

OP, I guess those all make sense, right?

I mean King is probably not starting in spring over a guy that has been in their system for a year and an offense that doesn't throw a ton, right? Doesn't GT heavily run? So, not a big deal we will see if King gets his confidence back and takes the job in fall or next offseason. Still time on that. But makes sense why he lost out the job during spring to a guy already a year in that system.

Demas, who the hell knows, smaller school somewhere? In Jail for off field issues? Just quite an gave up, went back to his old hood and working the streets? IDK but I hope he gets it together before making too many bad decisions that he waste all that talent. Would be a shame.

Denver will be a starter, here again, wasn't a starter here, sitting behind a guy that has been under their system for a year so makes sense to me. Will probably be a starter by season or somewhere along in the season. There is no doubt, we all saw it and there is a reason he was the #2 CB in the country in the 22 class. Dude is a flat out stud. There is always the chance he continues to make stupid decisions off the field but then again, Lsu doesn't really punish their players so, we will see how that works out. But for now, sitting behind a guy returning from last year and familiar with their system who is by the way a guy we heavily pursued and is a bad ass himself, I understand it for now.

Stars elsewhere, benchwarmers, out of football, doesn't make a damn bit of difference. It's 100% a failure by our staff to bring in guys who can play and we can keep.

If all of our 5 star guys are out of football and working construction next year it doesn't mean we should be happy to see them go. It means our staff was terrible at the whole process.

King might still be ok, he is young. No time to throw and crap offense didn't help him. He was an Elite 11 QB.

Back in my day Harris and Demas would have ended up at Miami or OU. And King would have stayed on the roster and stuck it out.

Coaches dont move new players ahead of players that are already in the system. If so the older player will get pissed off and leave. They dont make roster changes until they get close to the season.

To be fair, King wasn't a "screw-up" like the others mentioned. He had a small body of work in his time here, and the results just weren't that good.

Some Ags just want confirmation/validation that we didn't really lose anything by these guys going elsewhere

Makes you feel better seeing these guys not starting as opposed to them going somewhere else and becoming studs

Just look at all the tyree Wilson threads over the years . Seems like a new one lamenting his transfer would pop up every time he had a good game or was talked about as going high in the draft

Yep watching Kyler Murray and knowing he by far would have easily been the best qb to ever put in an anm jersey still hurts.

He's a great kid, but he has SERIOUS mechanical issues. His delivery contributes to a multitude of problems.

And this is his 4th year in college. If it ain't fixed by now, it's extremely unlikely to ever get fixed.

True. Him not working out here does not make him a "screwup". It just didn't work out for him.

Demas and Marshall were huge waste of talents, both were studs that have NFL talent. As long as Harris keeps his nose clean he can become a starter and may play at the next level, he has the tools.

King's mechanics have stayed the same since high school and that is not a good thing. He has the straight line speed but doesn't have the agility to make people miss so him moving to WR is likely out of the question. Plus as mentioned GT doesn't pass much so that would be a waste. Hopefully takes after his dad and becomes a coach, seems like a good kid

2 of 3 could not longer play here. All them. I think what most are tracking is not the hope they crew up again but if they don't, why did they screw up here?

He was thoroughly abused at Miss. State last year.

If he's really a stud, he'll show us that from day one.

No chance if one has any objectivity. Easily the best and the number 2 might as well be playing another sport compared to Murray

I don't understand lumping Haynes King in with the other two

King came in, worked hard, no off field trouble to speak of but it didn't pan out. That's an entirely different situation from Demas and Harris. I am pulling for Haynes to succeed unless he is playing us

Murray had his chances here and didn't produce anywhere close to Manziel. Some of that may be on the coaches but not instances of overthrowing a wide open receiver for an interception then cussing the coach out as you leave the field.

Haynes King should not be lumped with Demond Demas and Denver Harris. King gave full effort and stayed out of trouble, but he just didn't pan out. In contrast, Demas and Harris squandered their opportunities to become star players for Texas A&M by making poor choices.

Agreed. Not fair to see people lazily and unfairly lumping King in with this group. Kid did everything correct in principal (played hard, practiced hard, dedicated, great teammate, respectful). If anything should be considered a role model for others.
