You see those football players from LSU, they have AC in their Helmets, AC Helmets.
I'd rather have air cooled jock straps if it's all the same to you, sir.

I remember 2 a days in Houston with old school coaches and few water breaks. Mornings were the worst though, nothing evaporated as it was basically at dewpoint and felt hot as hell. Would have killed for an AC helmet 
I was more impressed they all fit in the same size helmet.

Cooling your helmet/head doesn't do that much.
Cooling your neck does. If you can keep the blood flowing into your brain from becoming temp elevated through keeping your neck arteries cool where they are exposed close to the skin versus on the head, where they are insulated, you can prevent elevated body temp better. Granted, your head has a lot of surface area, but it also has limited surface circulation.
