His senior year, Port Arthur was playing in the state playoffs and were playing a game at Kyle Field. Coach Slocum and a few of the other coaches came to watch the game. RC said he only came because it was his alma mater. Kevin had like 5 interceptions and soon thereafter had an offer from Texas A&M.
