I'd guess Tcu was on him longer than we were. Plus they didn't reject him out of HS. And who knows if our offense is up-tempo or not…

would loved to have had JP but i can't fault him at all for this decision. he needs to be utilized in a specific way to maximize his future opportunities. there is to much uncertainty with us right now for a player like him. his future potential is in a spread type offense where he can find pockets of space. none of us know what our offense will be next season.

I'm sure Bucky stayed out of any recruiting process and by that I mean influencing his sons decision. If Bucky is like most parent then they will support their kids decision if the kid decides it's what is best for them. Your statement is a knee jerk reaction and trying to point out a problem where there isn't one

John Paul Richardson always liked TCU even when they were not that good. It is ashame Jimbo could not reel him in.

Air raid team. He probably fits an air raid offense better if we are being honest. We have a lot of scholarship slots, sure, but if he came here would he move ahead of Evan Stewart or Moose? And we kind of think Ainias will go to the draft, but has he actually declared yet? I don't think being Bucky's kid obligates him to fill out our depth chart. I've not paid a lot of attention to TCU, but y'all keep saying they have a crap ton of seniors, so maybe he thinks his shot at starting at TCU is better.

I agree with you. Still would have been nice to have come here but he would probably not be starting.

He's going to TCU because he gets a chance to start. I doubt he is going there just simply because TCU made the championship game like someone posted above. TCU won't be near as good next year, IMO.

I'm surprised that some of y'all have front teeth with the amount of knee jerk reactions. TCU spreads the ball out way more than we do so its not hard to see why he chose them over us.

This is exactly correct.
I understand completely why he may not have wanted to come to A&M.
It had nothing to do with A&M but he didn't want to be compared to his father if he did.
You may recall years ago Billy Cannon Junior played at A&M and not LSU.
Do you wanna take a guess why?

This is a case in point how turning down players who can clearly play and have heart are turned down for those who don't want to be at A&M. Leading to chemistry issues.

I agree with you on the knee jerk reactions, But doesn't Petrino run the power spread? I'm thinking A&m spreads the ball out alot more next year.

I think Petrino builds the offense around his QB so I'm not sure if you can categorize it. I think JP knows what he is getting at TCU vs us. Could be a contributing factor. Plus JP would have to beat out Moose, E Stew, potentially Ainias and Thomas.

I think it is reasonable to think we will spread the ball out next season but its speculation. And Moose and E stew caught a majority of our passes when they were in the game together.

He did stay out of it. I talked to him during his last season and of course he would've liked for him to go to A&M, but A&M didn't recruit him all that hard and as others have stated, he wanted it to be his decision. Any good parent would do the same.

This thread cracks me up. Not losing any sleep on our coaches focusing on actual priorities than a good story.

WR going to a school that the QB is not returning. He could be in for disappointment. Competition at TCU for WR is alot easier than here.

if you mean the priorities are OL & LB, then I'm okay with that because those positions are why we lose games these last 2 years.

Why would he come here? Would he play in front of Evan, Moose, or Noah? I don't think so.

If is/was better then why didn't he start? I doubt they are "reloading" because you don't reload with youth and inexperience.

He started over Duggan in the first game I think. Then got hurt in that game and Duggan never looked back

You can guarantee Morris will be better than a baller Sr that won the Davey O'Brien and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Awards in 2022 after leading TCU to the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship.

They most likely will not have as good of an oline and you have no idea if Morris will be better.
