You'd be a total sucker to think he's changed. The guy just f-ed over UNLV too. We just had a year torpedoed by character issues in the locker room and our response is to hire a guy whose character issues could fill a dump truck.

We had a year torpedoed by injuries to tons of our starters. Locker room issues were an issue, but nowhere near as much as injuries.

As long as there are heavy repercussions for him leaving the contract early (what I worry about most), then I'm okay with it.

I wouldn't think any institution is likely to offer either of them a HC gig soon for the same reasons we are outraged about them as a coordinators. He just ditched UNLV after agreeing to be their OC three weeks ago. He's certainly not the first to do that, but given his track record you'd think at some point he might want to show some loyalty to those who have given him second/third/fourth chances.

It was timed for an announcement to come out the week before the CFP championship game. Obvious effort to steal some of TCU/Georgia's thunder and give us a big recruiting boost. let's gooooo!!!!!!!

Petrino is desperate to become relevant again, if he can turn this around, he should have a HC opportunity. I see no reason why he wouldn't do everything possible to improve our offense.

Maybe Jimbo really is turning over a new leaf. Petrino can certainly handle with workload.

Outside of the embarrassing personal stuff, it sort of seems like as a ball coach he's pretty solid, am I missing something? He's won most everywhere in college and there are a lot of people posting "best play caller I've ever been around" sort of statements. if the goal is to get a good offensive play caller, he seems pretty strong. Not sure if he has had success recruiting, anyone know that?
