Not my fault you picked the wrong A&M sport to support.

I don't think it's much to ask for as a fan and graduate of one of the largest universities that i can see a national championship APPEARANCE at least in one of the 3 men's sports. How is that unreasonable?

Experience is key but also player leadership, especially at the QB position. Duggan is a tough SOB, reminds me of JFF in that regard and his effort elevates the team's play.

Good for TCU. You make your own good luck

TCU showed that playing in a weak conference is sometimes better than playing in a tough one.

the Frogs played a mediocre schedule, but the committee loves P5 teams with gaudy records.

TCU got 2 big breaks when Alabama and Tennessee got their 2nd losses.

then Michigan made numerous far-end-of-the-bell-curve mistakes at the goal line...and TCU was there to take advantage.

sometimes you win by just letting your opponent make dumb mistakes

Put TCU in the SEC and they have a minimum of 3-4 losses. They're gonna get thumped by Georgia. TCU is nowhere near as good as tOSU and Georgia won't spot them 21 points.

Would this be the first Big 12 team to win a playoff game?

No. OU won one in the earlier years of the playoff and then lost.

You can downplay TCU's season all you want, but had we played, they would have horse ****ed us by 30.

Correct. The frogs got it right. They'd be sec west champs this year too if they were here. We are the definition of mediocrity

No they didn't. They've lost in the semifinals all 4 times

Let's not exclude the job that Josh Heupal has done at Tennessee in 2 years, the job Kirby Smart did in two years at Georgia, Lincoln Riley in his first year at USC, not to mention Brian Kelly in his first year at LSU...Jimbo Fisher takes 5 years to take this program to embarrassing.

Texas A&M is where coaches come to retire...plain and simple.

Tcu could win the west. The idea winning the west is some major accomplishment this season with the likes of A&M, auburn, Arkansas, ole miss, Msu, lsu and even Alabama is a myth.

Some of you just say stuff in an effort to make yourselves feel better about A&M being the literal laughing stock of college football in this state.

Do you think those coaches at A&M would have similar results? If not then what do we need to change? The last three coaches at LSU have won a national championship and USC is a blueblood. It is really impressive what Heupal and Kirby have done to turn their programs around so quickly.

So you're just going to pretend that 2020 season didn't happen? Or are you going with the tired old excuse that it was a Covid season (as if no other programs had to contend with that as well) so it doesn't count?

That was 2 years ago and we have been meh sincez We didn't even win the west, the sec, or make the playoff in 2020. Good to get a NY6 Bowl win but we didn't take a next step

All of that is true but to not acknowledge 2020 seems a bit disingenuous. Can't win the west when your lone loss is to the team that did. And a solid case can be made that A&M was screwed by the playoff committee that season.

We 1000% were. Making the playoff immediately makes that season BY FAR the best we've ever had and way past the Johnny year

2020 was a nice year, but full of the same old ***** Can't win the West, can't beat Alabama when it counts.

We weren't screwed by the playoff committee, we were screwed by the Big10 allowing Ohio St to be eligible when they only played a couple games.

Its very possible that the BDF will have the National Champion in football, and the last two National Champions in basketball.

Will the BDF even end up missing Texas and OU once they add Houston and BYU?

Everyone talks about recruiting, but the other x-factor in making strong teams is having experienced upperclassmen. TCU has the latter

And coaching...and roster management to encourage upper classmen to return.

Whatever it is that Dykes and TCU have, they have it in abundance.

TCU was unranked in the preseason
All I could find was they were ranked 7th out of 10 in the BDF

TCU essentially used the regular season as a playoff and win every game
They lost the Big 12 championship to K St
But it was written off by the CFP committee and they beat Michigan who was undefeated

They deserve it. Enjoyed watching them come from nothing to beat UT all of those times. If you beat a undefeated SEC champion and a undefeated Big Ten champion then your natty is automatically GOATed.
