45-27 NS after 3
With :56 seconds left and @aledo_FB up 21-17 over @longview_FB for a trip to state and lightning delays forces both teams and fans to take cover. May be here a while. @kdfwsports pic.twitter.com/vehQpUb12l

Is the running back Dandre Hardeman for North Shore the son of former A&M running back Dandre Hardeman?
Absolute downpour here at SMU’s Ford Stadium right now as we wait out a lightning delay that has already surpassed an hour and doesn’t appear to be anywhere close to ending.#txhsfb @dctf @ProsperEaglesFB @PISD_Athletics @Duncanville_Fb @ihss_dfw @SportsDayHS @DuncanvilleISD pic.twitter.com/6bYA2b1HXC

Northshore has dominated the Houston region for yeaRS. Other than Katy nobody can compete down there. But than again northshore has dominated the whole state as well.
if you live in Galena Park ISD. i don't think people from around the city are flocking to live thereQuote:
I think NS has an open enrollment system. A lot of talent in Houston ends up there.

Who are some of the players that moved to Galena Park for football? I don't doubt its happened, but I'd guess its a rarity.
Wouldn't moving to Katy, much better area, make more sense?

So who were the kids that moved to North Shore for football? And where were they moving from? If from Worthing area or something, I could see that.

Same 10 teams play for state every year. Ask me how I know…

North shore is not in the "ghetto". It's a working class neighborhood for sure, but there are a lot of families that make a good living.
I don't know how the school ranks academically, but I would guess somewhere around average. They have some nice facilities and exhibit reasonably good sportsmanship considering how much success they have had. Probably a reflection of the coaching and culture they have developed.
Can't say the same about Duncanville re: good sportsmanship. I will enjoy watching Northshore beat them, I only wish NS had their QB that started the season. When he was available and the kid now playing QB was catching passed in the slot, they were unreal. As it is, they're going to win another state title, but that team that started the year would have buried Duncanville by 40.
