I love the pageantry and honor that surrounds this game! Like at our own school, the honoring of our future military heroes is enmeshed in our fabric.

This game still matters. It won't be great football, but that's inconsequential. Army-Navy is proof that college football is bigger than the 60 minutes of field time. For all of us especially from tradition-rich schools. No place more so than in Annapolis, MD and West Point, NY.

I'm non-reg so I don't have a strong favorite. But my FIL was Army so I do lean slightly that way.

I'm a former infantryman in the cult, I mean 82nd. My dad was a naval aviator, always a fun game for us to text back and forth on.

Looking forward to the posts about how people hate west pointers, my interaction was always positive with them and am still friends with several.

Yeah I've never understood the West Pointer hate thing either. But I wasn't Army so what do I know?

One of my besties is a retired Navy Capt. former commanding officer Naval Support, Monterrey and before that, same role at Whidbey Island. I was in the auditorium the night he won his acceptance into Annapolis our senior year.

All that to say, I'm proud to know him

Interesting article on espn about how NIL and transfer portal have made growing a winning program more difficult at the academies. Makes you appreciate this game more…they're not bringing in outside transfer talent, but can certainly lose players. Current leading tackler at TCU was a Navy recruit/player.

I've attended one and it's amazing. A definite bucket list event for any football fan.

Never have I seen so much free alcohol at the pregame tailgate events.

When I was at A&M, it was still "pure", i.e., only Army and Air Force. Navy came in a couple of years after I graduated. I was Army with branch assignment to Infantry until my last semester when I switched the the Air Force so I could fly.

My cousin played for Army, team captain and all that jazz.

Always irks his side of the family that I pull for Navy.

Army vet and IDGAF any longer. When we fight a battle for for our country and not the interest of Israel, I will start caring again. Back to regular programming.
