Listening to the radio show, Billy is mentioning Edge potentially going to the portal--what's going on? Has he mentioned leaving? Hope we can keep him because that would be a huge loss at this point w/ our LB situation.

The way I understood it, he made a post somewhere a day or two ago to the effect of 'thanks for everything Texas A&M" (some social media) and then posted similar snap/snaps the last couple of hours or maybe late last night.

Didn't say anything about the portal, but basically posts suggesting he's considering it.

Coop in the portal Is a real possibility, but it's NOT a done deal yet.

Hoping he doesn't leave...but if he does hopefully it would mean Anthony Hill seeing he has absolutely zero competition to start day 1.

All these guys leaving, bad LB play and Anthony Hill decommiting points to problem is either position coach or DC.

What else could it be? Too many of them going

Hopefully the head coach can start focusing on the whole team and these issues rather than just calling plays and chewing out the QB.

If our staff can't keep Coop that's basically the biggest red flag for me yet.

Huge piece of the puzzle and an absolute screaming need position. Tons of production, future NFL guy, entrenched starter.

Losing him without incredible upgrades at recruiting or portal would be the last straw for me.

Hope he stays as think a huge upside for him (last year was great, but maybe due to more seasoned players around him).

For this year, prob got a less than avg. "review" (grade out, job review). He didn't play to same level as last year (maybe due to system, but looked a bit listless or over-thinking this year; thought he might have been <100% and/or lack of DL support from freshmen vs. what he had last year with seasoned crew). Or maybe he doesn't like Durkin and JF told him Durkin is here to stay and either get onboard or don't.

Might be the new NCAA with portals....get graded out and has an effect on NIL (gets adjusted ..no bonus), etc etc. and told adjust to current scenario or hit the portal for a new home.

You could argue that a 2 year starter has earned it more than a guy who hasn't played at this university or some high profile high school kids

He won't be an NFL guy until he learns how to tackle. Ridiculous speed, yes. Bounces off guys and gets run over way too often at this point. Maybe he knows that and is realizing the guy he has here won't help him with that.
