Jimbo decided to delay based off his self assessment of those calling for him to hire an OC can kiss his arse since he's locked into a contract no one can pay

Jimbo could be fired tomorrow if that was the right answer. While it is fully guaranteed, his buyout would be spread across several years if he were to be terminated.

Seems most any good, available or rising star O Coord would want this job
IF he has control of the O, the coaches under him and the play calling....or at least most
of that.
With our apparent returning talent, and Jimbo's typical good finish in recruiting, the New O
Coord adds another feather to his cap plus more $$ as a candidate for a head coach sooner that later.
Say we go 10-2 or better in 2023 in his first year on the job.....no doubt he will get most of the credit for
that record!

I know what he said. He's denying the rumor it's a done deal. There's lots of speculation right now and I've never said Riley is the guy.

Also Billy made a comment in premium yesterday that we have a #1 and it's still on the table but nothing is done.

If it is not GR, is it possible that Kliff Kingsbury would nr interested. He will probably be looking for a job soon!

Exactly. And if this was true, you can exclude guys like Riley....no way a great OC is going to come here and not call plays.

Oh yeah and I'll add that Cooley was promoted to OC when Fisher took over as HC. I'll take it a step further and note that Cooey's only OC experience was 3 years of HS and 1 year at FIU before his promotion.

I'm not sure who Cooley is, but the fact remains Jimbo is a control freak. Watch and see.

Coley left to go call plays at Miami. Dawsey and Sanders certainly didn't run the offense. If Fisher turns the offense over to the next OC, it will be the first time.
