Certainly not going to argue merits of drum corps sounds on this thread but if one had to compare sounds - The Aggie Band - has one the best cadence marches anywhere when compared to other schools. It's very much a battle marching sound that can get everyone behind it hence the hand clapping that you hear in the stands or along parade routes. There have been many games in the past where it's gone dead silent between timeouts or commercial breaks where we had momentum but the silence kinda kills the mood - that if or had the Aggie Band drummed up its cadence to keep the feeling in the air - like we are still battling - than perhaps we could've changed some past outcomes.

Hokey as that sounds I promise some of you have felt that rhythm and can attest to what I am trying to convey.

I for one think this part of the entrance invokes that sense of going to battle and should be used more and not because it's trying to get the Corps involved, etc. although that too makes A&M unique and not like every other college whose bands are all too similar and sounding.

I'm sure you have lots of data from your research, please provide the list of recruits we have lost because of our entrance. Sounds like it should be very telling.

When I was a student in the 90s the team ran out while the band played the "first down" jingle (sorry BQs I don't know what the correct reference is), lined up on the field facing the student section/opposing bench and sang the Spirit. Was a cool moment of solidarity with the students and was probably intimidating at the same time (at least back when we were good).

Yes, I know that. Just providing an example of a song directly connected to A&M that could be used. It is also one that I heard remixed before from Mo-Wattz.

Not what I said ,
the game day atmosphere at Kyle is among the best if not the best in the country
An awesome game day atmosphere is part of getting players to sign here
If the entrance is pathetic the game day atmosphere is less awesome


Of course we are going to get players to sign here because A&M will always be better than tceh, mizzou, Pitt, Az , Ms State etc but we want and need players that have offers from places like Tn, Bama, tu, USCw The U, tOSU

As long as the song isn't a bad look for us...lets see your suggestions.
