Vitrolic? Really? We are loyal, to a fault, craving success so much that we will pay extravagant sums to shysters and con artists. No, if anything, it's our gullibility that dooms us, not our vitriol.

This seems like a case of Jimbo having a rule against skill players (who get the ball) wearing sleeves and he told Moose to not where them and so Moose mouthed off resulting in him not playing. That would be on Moose, not Jimbo.

Jimbo has been horrible this year and he would be fired if not for his stupid contract. However, this doesn't seem like something to criticize Jimbo for. There are plenty of valid criticisms.

This is a bad look though. Things like this hurt the program (and the lack of wins has already done a good job of that).

Those throwing out racism are really pathetic unless you have some REAL information to suggest that is involved. There are enough idiots in this country constantly playing the race card.

I feel better. I hated Jimbo for looking the other way when Jamis Winston was thieving and abusing women at FSU.

I never wanted him here in the first place.

Moose has been wearing them all year.

I had a coach in HS that was this way. He had his favorites that could do no wrong and was super strict in discipline. Those type coaches work when there is consistency. One of his biggest rules was, "if you dont practice you dont play." One week the starter in front of me got banged up and couldnt practice all week, so i ran two and sometimes three huddles all week because we were thin at my position. I started for two possessions, both of which we scored on, and he approaches me and says, "hey, the starter is a senior, and it's homecoming, and he has family at the game, so we are going to let him play the rest of the game. Good work."

No one liked playing for him because what he preached was clearly BS. If this story with Moose is true, i predict a mass exodus into the portal, and a devastating few years. Hope there is more to the story. I was thinking during the game that it had to be disciplinary. I was wondering if his parents traveled to the game, because if it were me and my kid i would be livid if he was benched over something like that. He wouldnt play another down for this team. One of the things i like about Jimbo was his preaching of discipline and doing the little things right. That's why this story is so big, because if true he is nothing like what be has made himself appear.

Jimbo's handling of Winston at FSU shows that discipline is not as important as performance. He shows far more concern over his own ego.

Also sounds a little like Isaiah may have had run ins with Jimbo too.

If discipline is not as important as performance, then it is mind boggling to bench the player has had great recent performance over somewhat minor discipline issue.

I completely agree!!

Jimbo allowed Aggie players from his team to join alongside other athletes & politically-motivated agitators (some of whom sure as hell said & acted like genuine racists) to protest the Sully statue on the pretext of racial equality, but suddenly now Jimbo is racist?!?!

ANYONE suggesting Jimbo disciplined Moose because of a racial animus/ bias is absolutely full of bull**** without definitive proof; I'm sick of his bullcrap as much as the next guy, but to falsely accuse someone of such without ANY proof is utterly disgusting IMHO!!

I remember Lane Kiffen telling a story about when he was OC at Bama. They were having meetings the night before a game and Kiffen wore a cap to his meeting. Saban yelled at him and made him take the cap off because he had a strict 'no hats in meetings' rule.

Moral of the story: when you win 7 nattys you can be a rule nazi and no one will question you. When you lose 6 games in a row, it just looks petty.

There were 100,000 people at the OL Miss and Fl games.

I was at Ark visiting my son for Dads weekend and the stadium wasn't even full at KO and 1/3 empty at the start of the 4th quarter last weekend when they lost to Liberty.

So was it unbelievable or can he see it happening?
