Has anyone ever stopped to think there's a possibility a large percentage (if not all) of the team has already gotten their shot and this still happened? We can't hardly go 30 days without discovering yet another lie that was told about the Covid vaccines in the name of something as stupid as the aspiration of some sort of political gain and we've all known plenty of people who have gotten the flu despite receiving the shot. Lots of needless speculation in these comments.

Of course, but I'd venture to gamble that the majority of those sick did not get the flu shot. I never believed in the Covid "vaccine" but I do get the flu shot every season.

Don't try an insinuate that I'm for mandating the vaccine, it's an individual's choice. I also wouldn't say "you deserve to get the flu because you didn't get the vaccine".

If anything, this is a sign that 2022 is simply against the Ags having a decent season, and puts me squarely in the camp of "let's just get this season over with".

I doubt that very seriously because pre-Covid flu shots were primarily taken by the elderly. Young people tended to never get one.

I only started getting them when I was in my 30's and they were provided free at the workplace to where it took little to no effort to get.

Of course, I have no recollection of ever having the flu in my life, shot or no shot, so I may not be a good subject to test the shot's effectiveness.

I haven't been sick in over 5 years, but this last month got this flu, then the stomach bug, then 2 inner ear infections out of it. Even missed two days of work. It's awful. Hope the players can work through it.

Man, with all that I'd be out for 2 weeks.

I had it in 1995 and thought I was going to die. 2 weeks of IVs and pure hell. Took the flu shots since and haven't had another case of it.

I am now up to a half dozen people I know who have had the shot and got the flu within three weeks. much like the Covid vaccine, it only helps lessen the symptoms if you do get it. It absolutely does not prevent you from getting it. I thought that was basic, knowledge. Judging by some of the comments on this thread, apparently not.

too bad jimbo couldn't get the flu, so then maybe someone else can call the game.

The only time I've had the flu was the one year I got the flu shot. Never again.
