I might be alone in this, but I find it embarrassing how many guys went down with "injuries". We must have stopped play on 10 different occasions tonight. It just seems so soft to me

come now, it's a mere 390. Props to the O for even making it close when you give up 390 on the ground. Having no turnovers was a big stat that kind of gets overlooked.

Many of these guys (esp on DL) are playing injured and trying to still give it their all...more than they tell the public.

Same as the Carolina game. The D held them to limited points but didn't get the stops when we most needed them. We were always just out of reach

It had nothing to do with the offense not being able to score after the defense held them.

Giving up 31 points is mediocre.

Not being able to out so much as a field goal on the board for 2 straight quarters is worse than mediocre.

As soon as the LSU game is over, that POS Durkin and Addazio need to be gone. Both units are regressing and are major issues going forward.

And other teams aren't? Players play banged up all the time. You cannot use that excuse. It starts with the choice of your defensive front alignment.

In several games, SC, BAMA, OLE MISS, we have scored at the end to mask greater deficiency.

I am glad we are playing through the whistle, but we just aren't diverse enough on offense or deep/experienced enough on D to be very good.

Why we aren't up to par is a VERY fair question.

Giving up 31 points is mediocre.

Not being able to out so much as a field goal on the board for 2 straight quarters is worse than mediocre.

Scoring is not the only metric that a defense is judged on. Allowing 390 yards rushing is beyond atrocious (i.e. worse than "mediocre"). Continuously missing tackles by taking bad angles, not wrapping up and doing basic fundamental things is not "mediocre".

The defense was just at least as bad as the offense tonight.

First I had to watch my flag football team miss flags all morn and get routed bc of it, then this evening I was subjected to multiple missed tackles - is the Mack brown "tackling epidemic" back?

From Kay Naegeli's Post Game review article (very well-written, BTW):

"Oh yeah, Ole Miss also rushed for 390 yards, the second-most allowed in A&M history behind the 2003 Texas game (393)."

Given that Durkin knows Ole Miss so well, this stat is extremely discouraging.

Why _urkin is so fond of the 3 down DL against the 3rd best rushing team in the country in mind boggling.

I guarantee you bama will line up in bear front and never touch a 3 man front unless 3rd and a mile.
