A person who could be fired from a job and still be paid $95,000,000 is pretty danged enviable and sickening.

It sounds so basic, but it's important to learn how to enjoy things. Like with A&M football, enjoy the positives, but don't let the negatives affect you to the point that it starts bleeding into other things you have going on in life. That's when you know that you are taking things way too seriously. Trust me, I've been there.

I will teach my kids to win and give everything they got in life. However, that thing we watch on TV every Saturday is a game. For Jimbo and the players, it's different. But, for me, I want to keep it in perspective in how it effects my life.

Please don't make assumptions on how those who feel this way will raise their kids based on how they rank a game on their priority list for life.

For me, ideally, it goes God, family, country, work. I have to work to keep it that way and I fail all the time. A&M football has been a huge part of my life for the last 24 yrs, but it no longer defines me and it has moved way down my list. I'm better for it.

Ah yes, the midseason "it's all meaningless at the end of the day" reminders.

Life. Laugh. Love. signs up and down all these staircases.

Loser attitude breeds Losers.

Never understood the whole "Ag street cred" thing. Credibility is bestowed on the Ag that shows up rain or shine, crappy teams or not, to "support the team." I think this is silly. What should I care about whether a bunch of folks on a message board think I'm a good Ag? No other fan base would support this ineptitude and they have championships to support their impatience. What do we have to show for our patience and support? Street cred from other Aggies?? Yeah, don't care.

Win some lose some mentality. You won't find that at LSU or Bama or Georgia.

It's a game that we really suck at.

The UCLA game was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I have zero expectations for A&M football now. It's a lot easier way to live. I clicked over during a commercial break during the Astros game yesterday and it was 10-0 after 3 seconds and I thought, "Oh well, back to baseball!"

Life goes on… we need to hold our heads up. The recruiting class is strong and Jimbo is steadying the ship.
