I think Achane is the biggest waste of talent in the entire country. I can't imagine his frustration.

Actually would have liked to see a pitch to Achane and tell him it is a race to pile on
of course, this was not in his vast menu of options for our MNC winning jimbo

Look down a few posts, I say where I think Jimbo wanted him to go. What I'm saying is, if Evan was his read. The route he ran, the ball has to come out immediately. With the expectation that Stewart will make the space. But I do believe he looked at the receiver crossing.

You're correct about this. Watched the replays a number of times and when he first makes his break out he's open. He needed to turn around and find the ball right on him. Any delay resulted in exactly what we saw.

I agree. But he was also playing with a limp at the end. And a few of his passes, you could tell it was bothering him.

Imagine Jimbo could actually manage the clock and not waste time outs … then we have 20s to run a few plays at the 2 instead of 3 seconds

I think he was hoping the short crossing route would be there, which caused a delay on the throw. If he read stew, it should have been snap, step throw

With King's mobility, I was expecting an old school roll-out, option type of play. That play was Spav-like in the fact that he wasn't even in the end zone. Even if he does catch it, he's not getting in.

That said, the game was like watching four quarters of two punch drunk fighters flailing around in the ring. Ugly, ugly football.
King doesnt have that in his bag

I don't know why we keep buying into this notion that King is so mobile. He might have good straight-line speed, but his first few steps are VERY slow. That's why our option plays never work. He can't get to the edge quickly.
I'm guessing because compared to Max, he looks like Curtis Dickey.

Excellent old-school reference. I was in school when he was playing.

Honestly, Bama looked just as poorly coached as the Ags did tonight. Lots of miscues and mistakes that we'd (rightfully) be blaming Jimbo for...especially if holding had actually been a penalty.

Haynes never sets his feet even when he has time. His throwing motion is weird and inefficient. Winding up isn't helping him. But he played better than he has tonight. In a tough environment and crowd.

Not enough qb play to win games in the SEC.

Hopefully we at least learned that we're better with a 4 man front tonight. If we go back to 3 man front after what we just witnessed then I officially give up.

Poster above me is on the right path:

We don't have the QB play to win games in the SEC.
We don't have the OL play to win games in the SEC.
We don't have the WR play to win games in the SEC.
We don't have the fundamentals or discipline to win games in the SEC.
We don't have the scheme or strategy to win games in the SEC.

If we are better in any one of those areas this season then we're likely 5-1 right now. Can't suck in this many areas and get away with it.

The route was poorly ran and rushed.

Not learning a gd thing.

Offense is the exact same as we saw the first half agains shsu. Nothing has changed.

No improvement. Looked erratic and there was times they barely got a gd play off.

On the biggest stage in cfb.

Prime time CBS and it looks like a donkey show gangbang.

Yet on the last play of the game we snap the ball w/20sec left on the play clock.......?

Plenty of time to change the O set & even change again.
