Do you think the 4* and 5* receivers sit around talking about how the LG really needs to play better or be replaced? Haynes was awful, pure and simple. Several of the times he was "running for his life", he wouldn't have been if he had made the correct throw on time.

I'm not getting my hopes up with Max considering the fact that King has beat him out of the position up to date. Jimbo hand picked King over numerous other options and has had a couple years with him. Max isn't very athletic, doesn't know the system as well, and hasn't established dominant play elsewhere. Could be in for a long game...he could also provide that spark we need. Who knows.

King didn't beat Max, King's potential did. Max is more athletic than people think, and he is good moving in the pocket. Excited to see how he does.

About 15 hours

King got benched because he got scared of making a mistake again.

He was slinging the ball and making decisions pushing the ball the 1st week, against APP State he was scared to throw and make a mistake and was actually worse for it. That's why he was benched, you can't stop doing the thing that won you the job in the 1st place.

Max is the 2nd best qb on campus, nothing against him. When Weigman gets a true chance no one is replacing him. The bad part is we are going in reverse order of who starts.

He plays amazing. We revel in the fact we've finally found our quarterback. Moments later, he sustains a season ending injury. We suck again.

King's career stats are 6 TD 6 INT and his QBR in 2022 is 33.1.
Calzada career stats were 19 TD 10 INT and his QBR in 2021 was 57.4.
Johnson career stats are 35 TD 7 INT and his QBR in 2021 was 63.2.

Regardless of practice, real game data shows Johnson > Calzada > King. It certainly appears Jimbo made a mistake in starting King and it isn't outrageous for the fanbase to want a change.

Rightfully so. It's Jimbos job to pick the right guy, make things easier for that guy and prepare that guy. Jimbo can't seem to do that.

If Johnson has really bad numbers here, then we will know this is all on jimbo. Max has 2 seasons at lsu and if he is much worse here than we better force jimbo to give up offensive play calling.

Im dumbfounded after watching King play that some of yall are butthurt he got replaced. Too include but not limited too the Spring game, which he was even more terrible than his normal game day self. People dismissed the game because it was just a "Spring game" and not really action.

On the flip side you have people that want Weigman to be the starter based solely on the Spring game. There is a reason the Alabama's and Georgia's of the world don't roll out True Freshmen QBs as their starters, its because they want to win games an not give up on the season.

King running for his life is simply bull***** OL sucked at run blocking but there was only a handful of plays where King was under pressure. He just is not good and a change needed to be made.

I'm already pissed off at Max

He could score a TD on the first 5 drives and then punt on the sixth and we would call for Connor. I feel bad for Connor, unless he wins 2 Natties and 3 Heismans TA will be mad and call him a disappointment.
