BTW - there was a rule change a few years back about using the QBs body to cushion your way to the ground. That was marginal, but he has the option not to finish him.

If the QB was running, lowered his head and the defender hit him with the shoulder it would not be targeting either. Nor should it be.

I don't agree with the call but, it's not difficult to not land on someone. All he had to do is turn his body and keep his arm over the top.
