2023 Shiner ATH Dalton Brooks commits to Texas A&M

Two-time state champion Dalton Brooks‍ has given his verbal pledge to Jimbo Fisher today. There had been some behind-the-scenes momentum with the Shiner standout for quite a while, but he finally makes the move to become an Aggie today.

His commitment moves the Aggies’ 2023 class to eight in number.

A standout on both sides of the ball for the Comanches, Brooks camped in College Station last summer and worked out with the safeties. He’s got a great frame at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, and he certainly possesses high-end athletic traits that would allow him to accel on offense or defense. He combines wiry strength with a long stride to eat up ground and arrives at contact with bad intentions. Being a small school kid, he’s asked to do a lot of different things so the development should be rapid once he finds a home at safety. You can view his tape below.

Brooks chooses the Aggies over Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, LSU and many others. He’s the second athlete commit in the 2023 class.
