Many of these are opposing players playing at Kyle against bad or average A&M teams. I am having a hard time coming up with a more anticipated game than 2013 Alabama at Texas A&M. The entire country talked about that game for 9 months!! AJ McCarron had a MONSTER day at Kyle to pull out a HUGE road win. McCarron with 334 yards/4 touchdowns and ZERO interceptions. Manziel was fun to watch but his 2 interceptions were brutal compared to McCarron's fantastic performance on the road.

Exactly. 2013 was my first year at Texas A&M because I transferred from a community college in northern California. I recall how horrible our defense was in 2013. We allowed 31+ points 8 times, and JFF helped us to win 5 of those 8 games with losses to Alabama, Auburn, and LSU. We incurred an additional 28-21 loss at Missouri.Batman96 said:
JFF Hands Down not even close. I think people forget how truly awful our defense was his last year. They say stats don't lie. We had one of the worst defenses in all of CFB Johnny's last year.
I agree about Thomas. The guy was all over the field in that Hurricane Bowl. Big, fast and hard hitting. Best non-Aggie defensive player I can remember at Kyle.bwmammoth said:
Many good answers here, but 1 that I have not seen listed: Derrick Thomas - Alabama (1988). One of the best defensive players I have ever seen at Kyle.
Yeah, was the OP a trick question? I don't think this is particularly close. We've had some great running backs, defensive player, kickers, etc. but JF could waterbug around the field and evade defenders like he had supernatural powers.papacharley said:
Johnny football was the most amazing player I have seen and I haven't missed many games since 1990. Seam some great games and great players!!
