Ags at 5, horn nowhere to be found. But I thought they were favored in every game but Bama? Never thought I would see such an honest preseason poll.

Been seeing USC inflated quite a bit in a lot of these. Lots of hype. Will be interesting to see how they actually perform.

I don't remember ever seeing an ESPN preseason ranking without the horns. Almost wish they were there, that program's downturn has been a direct result of their own hubris.

On no earth is Jaxon Dart on Caleb Williams level. They've upgraded in talent, but is it worthy of a top 15 rating? Time will tell. Personally, I don't think Lincoln has retooled the defense well enough. But that might fly in the pac12.

Agreed, I had completely blanked on the Caleb Williams transfer. With that being said, USC has been mediocre at best the last 10-15 years and it's gonna take more than one year to turn that ship around.

Did u know our team? OL was a weakness LAST year. It is NOT a weakness this year unless coaching is the issue. We should have a good OL this year. Hopefully we start a QB that doesn't make em look bad.

I hate to see us at #5. A single loss other than Bama males the entire season a disappointment and then the ESPN **** talk starts. Well the ESPN crap talk just continues.

And for once in my life Texas isn't ranked! Magical. But you know what will happen now? They probably win the Big 12 and make the playoffs. Sure hope I am wrong but that would be the irony of it all.

They had a pretty good season last year and the PAC blows. They could easily repeat as PAC champs.

This. Preseason polls are always about trying to predict teams' final records. They are a decent team in a crap conference.
What surprises me is how low Clemson is. I guess they are taking a wait and see approach to them after all the turnover. But they still have way more talent than anyone else in the ACC.

And you can also see what ESPN thinks of the BDF. Since they figure both tu and ou are gonna suck this year, they aren't even trying to hype okie lite or Baylor to make their rsums seem better.
I mean someone has to win that conference and they probably won't have more than one loss if they play a weak OOC. And the best they do is rank okie lite at 10.

ESPN work is bit garbage..their FPI and early projection should have some similarity but no...doesn't make sense.
