really nice guy!!


Maybe we were in the same class, maybe Ed took weight lifting more than once, but the look on his face when the ta explained that a five set combo of leg press and bench press of 5 x body weight was required for an A.

Ed replied, "Man, I weigh 300 lbs!" Then on the last day he threw 8-10 reps of 315 on bench and about 1500 on leg press. That's when I truly understood the guys that play on Saturday and Sunday are different than most of us walking around.

Me too- good dude. I would often get stuck guarding the linemen. I tried to run them to death, cause I couldn't move them. He would playfully hold me back or give me a hard time. I remember Mitchell too- he was so athletic… the tartan floor at Read.

TROUP Funeral services for Mr. Edward Jasper, 49 of Troup, will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 1 pm. The service will be held in Troup Tiger Stadium in Troup, Texas with Pastor Willie Lacy serving as eulogist under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company. Public viewing will be 2-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
