I was class of '09 and learned quickly down there that West Texas Tex-Mex is not like East Texas Tex-Mex. Warm hot sauce definitely caught me off guard. The best mexican food that I found when I was down there was Casa Rod in Downtown Bryan, but I'm sure there are several better places now, as that was over a decade ago, and I haven't made it back to CS since probably 2017 or 18, I can't really remember anymore.

I had lunch at Gate 12 a few weeks ago. The food was solid and we watched the planes land and take off and the Air Force crews swap out. There was a crew that sat at the table next to us. We watched them inspect and then take off in their jet about 40 minutes later.

Try Taco Crave or Cilantro in Downtown Bryan, or quesa birria tacos at Don Chente on Villa Maria across from the HEB in the Tejas Center.
