I just hope he DOES play RB for them against us. My guess is he will not.

And I always thought he was going to LSU. Even got some nice comments said to me on premium in the fall when I stated this.

Mom didn't look happy and Reporter asked her where she preferred him to go. Her comment was "away from family " or something like that so guessing she didn't t want him going back to Louisiana

I know it's a coping mechanism to flip on a kid who leaves us and try to pretend we never wanted him at all and bring up all the baggage after the fact, but this was a bummer for me. This kid gave me serious Ruben Foster vibes, who was another diva recruitment, but who would have been the best LB A&M would have ever had (I know in retrospect he was heading to one of the two Alabama schools, but he teased us until the end). It's obviously easy to move past with the stacked class we ended up with, but he was in my top 3 wish list for sure with Nolan and Weigman. Kid's gonna be playing on Sundays for a long time one day. Hope he doesn't resemble Foster in the off the field issues, though.

Easy to say but for 2 weeks now I have been vocal that Perkins is a total headcase and will amount to a failed 5 star in college. Kid loves the cash and himself but isn't going to put in the required work to be great and likely is a locker room killer.

Completely agree that we dodged a total drama queen and culture killer. Amazing physical talent but we can hopefully make up for it in the 2023 class by signing two of the best LBs in the nation after showing an insanely dominate defense for 2022!!!

Was I the only one that thought that after watching that post-game interview? Thought it was just my imagination, but he came off as someone who was participating in a recruiting double-cross but wasn't/isn't smart enough to act out his role convincingly.

I agree with you, I'm bummed about that news, too. I was really hoping for a star LB to sign with us and was really excited when Perkins committed to us. Oh well.

With that being said, him burning the A&M hat helped me get over it really quickly.

If true, I think this kid chose wisely and he and his classless crew will fit in nicely at LSU.

The hat burning sucks, and was totally unnecessary. But who really gives an eff?

And all that do, if he's unhappy a year from now and transferring, I'm sure ya'll will be welcoming him with open arms.

Most of the time I think a lot of these kids need to learn from their experiences but with the NIL I would not be surprised if schools start assigning handlers to recruits to try to keep them in line
