Yikes. Looks like we got our reason for opting out of the bowl game. I take back what I said about being disappointed about us ditching the bowl game; we genuinely had zero ways to play this game properly.

With this being said, I was under the impression King was available because of Liucci's comments about him. Dunno where he got his info, because Brent Z is saying something completely different here.

King is completely out, it seems. I was actually initially under the impression we could've still fielded a functional team because of Liucci saying how he was disappointed to see the bowl game canceled because King would have played in it. So I'm actually legitimately surprised by Brent Z's wording of us "having no scholarship QBs available".

Bost was the next guy up, but the tweet by Brent Z succinctly explains why he can't play.

It seems like our possible last ditch effort was to play Ainias Smith as a running QB. But he apparently has an injured foot, so that's not an option also.

So, yeah, we actually LITERALLY have no quarterback available. We can't blame Jimbo for this one since we would've still had Bost had it not been for Covid.

Just a really unfortunate situation.

Liucci heavily implied King was available despite all this, even today after the bowl game was canceled. Obviously, I know that his words aren't the absolute truth all the time, but I didn't think he would have been flat out wrong this time.

Where did I say or "act" like Jimbo was "doing such a horrible job"? Jimbo missed on Stowers (buried in the TE depth chart) - the only QB recruit in the 2021 class. I'm pretty sure most would agree that QB is the most important position on the team.

Jimbo certainly could have done better recruiting at the 2021 QB position given he is paid $9mil/year. I'm sure most would agree. Now continue with your mis-guided hissy-fit.
