While looking up recruiting news and reactions I noticed something. Is TexAgs the only competent website? I swear its like looking up original yahoo message boards. Kentucky is horrible, Ole miss is even worse, hell tidefans doesn't even compare.

I have notice that too when on a rare occasion I've ventured away from TexAgs.
No comparison.
Hands down we have the best laid out board.

If Texags was smart they would branch out and start independent websites for each school, all based on the same underlying Texags site code (just different instances for each). Then go infiltrate old message boards and recruit mods for each school respectively. I'd be surprised if this wasn't in their business/development roadmap somewhere.

They already lease their software. Check out Baylor's website.

Cool, I didn't know about Baylor. I suspect they are going slow and will expand from there. It's proabably easiest to start with licensing...but I could see hostile takeovers and/or just starting up competing sites to be advantageous in some situations as well.

Regardless...most college fan websites DO suck...and badly. They are ripe to make money off of by providing better alternatives. We are LUCKY to have the Texags crew give us this platform to ***** and moan on!

Wonder if Liucci and crew have considered selling the use of their platform to others?

Edit - I guess I should have read before posting. They already do apprantly.

There are literally free-to-use message board codebases better designed than most college team message boards.

SEC Rant isn't bad for gauging how other teams feel about each other. It's definitely a better board than the SEC Country forum on here.

But from an analysis standpoint, and humor standpoint it doesn't hold a candle. Just a bunch if ignorant backwoods rednecks talking trash.

It's called f5 sports. I don't know what its relationship with TexAgs is, but f5 Sports support is a 979 phone number.

I like the layout of Tigerdroppings/SEC Rant more than just about any other message board. The discussion, however, is about on the level of taking the average Philadelphia Eagles or Raiders fans and making them fans of the biggest colleges in small states. Planted in small towns with declining populations where everyone is angry about everything, posting sports smack 24/7 on a mix of pain pills, antidepressants, and street drugs.

TexAgs is organized and clean.
I haven't found a board that even comes close to what we have here

I really don't get why. I'm not a sports board specialist where I lurk on a ton of boards but I do occasionally stroll over to other boards during coaching searches, new opponent in the regular season or bowl games and largely they suck.

Tigerdroppings is easy to navigate and has individual program boards. So when the sooners and sips are officially in the SEC and those boards added, I have to wonder how much traffic surly and dirt burglars* will retain?

*dirt burglars isn't bad. Easy to navigate and fast loading. surly horns is awful.

Pretty sure they did that for Florida's board.

Ok but, the content is useless if the site is constantly trying to set your phone/computer on fire

Used to, but it got merged with their "rape coverup" board.

They need to purchase the SEC boards and create an all SEC one.

I like SEC Rant. But warning for others...be prepared to talk some major trash talk. That is the entire point of the Rant thread. I like me some insulting trash talk that borders on pure ignorance at times. Just for some laughs...especially aimed at all the horrible LSU fans. LSU fans are far worse than any Sip fan IMO. Or maybe the Sips are simply beat to the ground and hiding in caves. Don't see them post much anymore.

surly isn't too eyebleaching if you use a browser that has an internet condom like Brave. I like reading their game threads and the despair they cannot seem to break free of. Plus I'm 99% sure Barnes is posting on the "tell me texas A&M" thread.
