Against LSU and I loved it. Where was that kind of play at all year after HK went down?
It looks like Jimbo's offense always needs a QB who can pull the ball on a zone read to create an outside run threat.
ZC is not that kind of QB and that's fine but, there should be more outside run options when this is the case.
Does that mean A&M can never recruit a pure pocket passer now?
How about a jet sweep? If team speed on the edge is an issue then fine but, Achane has been split out wide plenty of times this year. In 2018-19 there probably wasn't enough team speed on the roster to run jet sweeps and reverses.
Look, any team worth a sh*t needs a QB who can make plays down field but you also need to be
able to adjust the run-calls given the personnel, game-situations or if the QB is off. Some of the biggest runs in football history have come against "stacked fronts" if your RBs & OL are good enough.
Ride the hot hand at RB...feed the beast.
My LSU buddies said the same this weekend - why didn't Jimbo keep running the football against us?
