I am with Jimbo so take a hike. Players need to execute consistently and with toughness. Jimbo cannot play for them.
That's not exactly fair using the 2020 abbreviated season to total wins.AngryAG said:At Texas A&M first 4 Seasons...

Probably 10 years in answer to your specific question. I'm sure Sharp's goal is very much to localize the negativity specifically to the football program so its irrationality is easier to see.TMF said:
Very disappointing. When do we draw the line in the sand? And what is that line? 9, 10, 12 wins? Is next year a pass too? Do we give him 3 years to develop this incoming recruiting class?

The same dorks that pitched and promoted Fisher to LSU now reveling in Fisher's embarrassing loss to the coach they said he would replace. Sports journalists are as hypocritical as the political press.

So overnight he's no longer the hottest coach for LSU to steal?
I bet LSU fans wish that they weren't firing Coach O.

Unhappy with the final game. But Jimbo is still ok and needs to get the OL and QB working right. He had a mediocre 2nd string QB and a weak OL that never was trusted.
Defense was hot and cold.
Possibly. But it really is just lack of thought and depending on outdated notions of which programs have more fans. we continue to expand our base of committed favs of the school. And more than 30K each year…or about 7,500-10,000 per class I estimate…has been season tickets holders at least one year prior to graduation.TyperWoods said:Sterling82 said:

It's not anti-Fisher, it's anti-A&M. It's always been that way.

I want to see jimbo roll left in 3rd and 2 and try to throw a one yard pass.
but 2012 still counts. A&M is not giving the wins back from that season.RoadkillBBQ said:
That 2012 11-2 season for Sumlin was inherited. If you have to pick any specific names for success that year you need to pick Kliff and Johnny. Sumlin got progressively worse every year. Jimbo hasn't and won't.

I'll be honest: if you liked Jimbo when we hired him, you probably have come to truly appreciate his approach as you e listened to his pressers and radio shows. He strikes me as exactly the kind of person we need representing our school as head football coach. And the out coke last year shows what is possible even if this year was less satisfying.
He's going to get time. It might look like Ferentz or Fry at Iowa by the time he finishes here. It might become a national championship machine. But there are zero shortcuts to greatness. Look at Urban Meyer to see how the opposite approach atrophied once he stepped down.

I remember in the 1995 season at the beginning of the season we were touted as going to the fiesta bowl - ranked number three - I fell into the hype - season tickets - trip to Colorado - trip to tech - we lose to Colorado and then tech with Zach Thomas killed us and then the nail in the coffin lose to Texas - very similar hype at the beginning and through the season. We finished 18th.
That team didn't have a backup quarterback for the entire season though who I might add barely played a down in his prior years behind mond. Essentially calzada was thrown into the fire and did pretty well for his first year.
I figured out that this is a game and not to believe the hype in anything - quit listing to the hype and just cheer for the Aggies - sure you can wish for and speculate but taking it out on everyone is not right - do you do this blaming every one thing at work or at home -I feel sorry for you if you do- sure it's heart breaking and gut wrenching - no one likes defeat and everyone likes success-
no one can say these kids and coaches didn't try their hardest as y'all are not in their shoes. They will get better as experience will be gained and then the nay sayers will turn into supposed die hards. Seen it all before.
