This year became a failure the second Calzada hit our olineman in the head with a fastball that was intercepted. That and the inexcusable safety, sacking himself on multiple occasions, dancing around in the pocket, etc. led to quite the disappointment.

It clearly was not. Most expected 11-1 with a loss to Bama given how easy the schedule was this year, with 10-2 as the floor with maybe an upset by either Ole Miss or LSU (before we saw how bad they were going to be).

However the real issue was that every game we lost was still winnable even with Zach. The coaching was not up to snuff. And before anyone chimes in "lOoK aT tHE ReCRuItIng cLaSs", this is the type of stuff that damages recruiting.

If you believed in the upward trajectory then an 8 win regular season was not in the cards.
