I used to hate those. Boring games. Not saying that we won them or even dominated, but so uninspiring. You'd be lucky to find it on pay per view with no announcers at 11 am.

I still feel that way about Missouri. I realize they have won in the East. I realize they've had some good teams. But, from their arena football looking font for their team to the fact that they destroyed their FB program, I have little interest in the game.

Agreed 100% Nothing against those fans or the quality of their teams, but they might as well have been non-conf games as playing them meant nothing to our fanbase other than it being a win or loss at the end of the day. Zero bragging rights on the line.

I feel the same way. I'm having a hard time getting excited about this game.

Issue, Mizzou has beat us quite a few times and so has KSU...even lowly ISU beat us in Kyle while I watched in disbelief.

Hope the team takes this wkend seriously as Mizzou had this game circled as a win for them (a few prognosticators think it will happen as Calzada will come back down to earth if they run a cover 3 zone). We shall see.

What's funny is all these programs that you are somewhat mocking have been more successful than Texas has been over the last decade excluding Kansas. So in the big 12 that is murderers row if you swapped out Kansas for OU.

The mute button is your friend. I usually mute it or keep it very low. Will unmute when the sideline reporter comes on. But even they mostly talk about emotions, not injury updates.

I agree there is no great rivalry with Missouri. I actually have a soft spot for them.

They left the Big 12 with us. They took the less desirable East spot. They won in the SEC. And Bow tie went there.

I agree that there isn't a strong rivalry with Missouri. They left the Big 12 with us and joined the SEC East. They won back to back SEC East division titles in 2013 and 2014. Beating us in those years was crucial to those division titles. If we had beaten Missouri on the road in 2013, South Carolina would have won the SEC East with a tiebreaking 27-24 double overtime win in Missouri. If we had beaten Missouri at Kyle Field in 2014, Georgia would have won the SEC East with a tiebreaking 34-0 win in Missouri.

With that said, I hope we get a double digit road win at Missouri. This game will be a great indicator of how much we have matured and set the tone for the rest of the season. We have several variables to overcome: 11 AM road game, avoiding letdown from beating Alabama at Kyle Field, and first out of state game since 9/11. Our next road game will be at Ole Miss on 11/13, and that will be our toughest remaining game.

I never lumped them into the iowa st/kansas group

they've had some pretty good teams throughout the years, as has Kansas ST

always like K-St and mizzou and when we were in the big12 those were the north teams I rooted for most

The general sentiment in this thread is confusing. Everyone use to look forward to the game against tu...a grudge match. But we don't want to play them either. I can understand how the games against PVAM and UL-Monroe get on our schedule. As long as we're so indifferent why not?

Now we only have 2 of those places to go annually: Starkville and Columbia SC.

I didn't say it was from 92 or 93, but I'm wrong anyway - I think Dat's TD was against MTSU.
