Look at their schedule, man. The only two non-terrible teams left on it are Baylor and Oklahoma State (OSU if you remember beat Missouri state by 6 and Tulsa by 5). They are going to cruise to the playoffs and then lose to Georgia by 50.

Highly likely they dont lose but i have seen some crazy stuff out of that conference. I still think Oklahoma is not a very good team at all this year on offense or defense. The fact they were able to come back down 21 against sip just makes it worse for the "best" in that conference as a whole

Yep, OU is not very good, but the Big 12 is no-kidding about as good as a mid-major conference this season. Look at their OOC highlights:

OU: struggled against Nebraska and freaking Tulane
OSU: struggled to beat Missouri state and Tulsa
Texas: got absolutely demolished by a good but far from great Arkansas team
TCU: lost to SMU
West Virginia: lost to Maryland
Kansas State: beat a 3-3 Stanford team. The best OOC win of the entire conference!

The entire conference played nobody OOC and they struggled!

Sounds like a great teammate, but hey, better than losing two QBs!

Just checked out Dirt Burglars. They are confused and have no confirmation that Rattler has made that move yet. There are reports that Williams was taking the snaps with the first string but then Riley closed the practice.

So who knows? His plan was to go to the NFL after this season. Transferring would likely set that back a year.

There's no confirmation on this via all other sources out there....may happen, but most are stating Rattler will get a chance to compete for position. Time will tell.

He is still on the team according to Riley.

I agree. Fortunately Texags was able to release all the dumb NIL and he's a selfish a-hole takes.

What shocked me was that he is a RS sophomore. If he does decide to transfer he should have a lot of options. He wouldn't be the first guy to transfer and successfully rehab his career. My guess is that OU will still need Rattler at some point this year. There is a small margin of error for a young QB even in the B12.

Except that people have been giving these kids money with no take backs and without receiving any benefits forever. Why on earth would this make any difference? What could be an issue is when we see someone who breaks the law or has some serious scandal. That kind of thing could make business think twice about NIL deals.

I have no idea if it's true or not, but I know if he had good advisors or a good head on his shoulders, his response would be something like:

"I'm going to work as hard as I can everyday to be the best player and teammate I can be and have full faith in Coach Riley to use me to the best of our abilities for the benefit of this team. Until this season is over, I am not focused on anything else."
