Rattler? More like rat poison! boom roasted
I thought he gave everyone on the team NIL money or something like that. Or did he donate it to some kids. Something not selfish...TxAg76 said:
Heard thru the grapevine from a friend with offspring at OkSt that the team turned on him a while back, being shortly after he got some NIL deals and started flaunting like a jackass.
A new Lamborghini was also mentioned, but not sure that part was actually true.

I'd love to see receipts of any donations he's made to date.Quote:

Not sure about a Lambo, but her got these after beating the brakes off Western Carolina:
Norman-based Fowler Automotive Group gave Rattler two new vehicles -- a 2021 Dodge Ram TRX and 2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack -- as part of the name, image and likeness (NIL) deal...

It's an easy call for Riley, IMO. And Rattler really doesn't have a leg to stand on... the production on the field is so apparent. I was hoping they'd start Rattler again simply because it's so obviously the wrong call. Really hoping OU loses a couple...
I predict tough times ahead.

A reporter for the OU student newspaper used binoculars from a public building to report that Caleb Williams was doing practice with first-reps, got quotes from Spencer Rattler's dad, and Lincoln Riley has now apparently canceled all media availabilities. https://t.co/O0laL4oRA2 https://t.co/5hKbpbtd8D

Look at their schedule, man. The only two non-terrible teams left on it are Baylor and Oklahoma State (OSU if you remember beat Missouri state by 6 and Tulsa by 5). They are going to cruise to the playoffs and then lose to Georgia by 50.

Bet Fowler Automotive Group is pizzzzed beyond belief right now!gotsand said:

Jury is still out on this NIL thing.4 said:
Oops.
This nil thing will work itself out. The people giving these kids money and gifts will soon figure out that those same kids may not start, may get injured, may transfer and all of a sudden they are out of all of that money with no return.

Wasnt he a top NFL draft pick going into the season?
Why not just enter the draft and see what happens...even though he was terrible this year.

Yep, OU is not very good, but the Big 12 is no-kidding about as good as a mid-major conference this season. Look at their OOC highlights:
OU: struggled against Nebraska and freaking Tulane
OSU: struggled to beat Missouri state and Tulsa
Texas: got absolutely demolished by a good but far from great Arkansas team
TCU: lost to SMU
West Virginia: lost to Maryland
Kansas State: beat a 3-3 Stanford team. The best OOC win of the entire conference!
The entire conference played nobody OOC and they struggled!

Yes, guaranteed. These deals are not allowed to be linked to playing performance or team affiliation.
