Heard from a friend with offspring at OkSt that the team turned on him a while back, being shortly after he got some NIL deals and started flaunting like a jackass.
A new Lamborghini was also mentioned, but not sure that part was actually true.

Wasnt he a top NFL draft pick going into the season?


Why not just enter the draft and see what happens...even though he was terrible this year.

Not sure why certain entities think they get to decide what a legitimate source is and is not...it's almost like that's how free speech is lost....

I'd say he has potential, he may really pan out somewhere.

Funny, a week ago we were asking if we could have Baylor's transfer QB. I don't want really expect or think we need him here, but he can still be an excellent QB somewhere.

Some of you may saying if he was ever gonna get good, he would have been good by now. Hopefully Calzada keeps playing well. Many of us, myself included, around the Arky game, were saying that if Calzada was ever going to be good, he would be good by now because he's had over 2 years to develop.

"Oh but Alpha Texan, the difference is that Calzada didn't get playing time so he never developed. Ratler has been the starter for 15 games, he should be better by now." A lot of people said the same about Mond. It wasn't until year 4 as a starter that Mond went from being average to great.

Maybe he goes to Tennessee or Miami? Both have senior QBs with disappointing backups.

Generally, being old school I hate that stuff, but I like Rattler and can't stand OU, that being said, I hope he does well wherever he goes. OU qb position has been a revolving door for a reason. Caustic environment.

This nil thing will work itself out. The people giving these kids money and gifts will soon figure out that those same kids may not start, may get injured, may transfer and all of a sudden they are out of all of that money with no return.

Remember when the talking heads were pumping him up as the Heisman leader before the season? Candy ass couldn't even make it through a weak big 12 + Tulane schedule. I was looking forward to watching him throw 5 picks against Georgia but I guess we don't get everything we want.

If he keeps them in good condition those will be classics real soon the way the auto industry is progressing

Just read an interview with the dealership. They don't care he was benched, a big NIL deal is national advertising for the dealership and program. I get the feeling this particular friend of the program would be passing out cars regardless. The article also mentioned the possibility that the cars may have been given on some type of lease basis.

I agree with your premise, and they could just be trying to save face.

Think this is the same account that said Houston was out of the running to join the Big 12. Not a repeatable reporter. Maybe still is true but no way to know for sure so that's probably why it was deleted.

It's an easy call for Riley, IMO. And Rattler really doesn't have a leg to stand on... the production on the field is so apparent. I was hoping they'd start Rattler again simply because it's so obviously the wrong call. Really hoping OU loses a couple...
