2014 and 2016 are my most frustrating of recent years

2014: start off 5-0, start to suck, pull off massive upset and look to be turning corner… then lose back to back home games to end season against unranked opponents

2016: Don't even need to discuss what happened but yikes that was an EASY Sugar bowl if we the 5-7 Mississippi schools.

need to give credit to the 1995 and 1999 teams.

while they started in the top 5 and had some frustrating early season losses...

they at least rebounded to respectable 9-3 / 8-4 final records.

this 2021 team is headed to 6-6 land or worse

And what did that '95 team do in '96 once they earned that recognition?

Not as frustrating as others when we had hope. Once King went down, the season was done.

FALL '03 by far the worst season I can recall (whether we were in SWC/ Big XII/ SEC). We'll see if Jimbo has the ability to truly develop a sustaining, high achieving CFB program - for the $$$ being paid to him so far, not impressed with return on investment at this point.

1988 - we started in the Kickoff Classic against #2 Nebraska. Followed by trips to #17 LSU and #18 Oklahoma State (don't laugh, that was when they had Barry Sanders (with the lone home game against #20 Alabama postponed due to a hurricane that went elsewhere). Lost @ #11 Arkansas later that season.

2011 - all those maddeningly come from ahead losses that sealed Sherman's fate

the entire Fran era

2021 - remains to be fully written, but it's off to a rousing start toward the toilet.

1. Seeing our QB getting thrown around like a rag doll by a hapless Colorado Defense, only to have him knocked out of the majority of the season to be replaced by a disappointing backup.
2. Witnessing the SEC backstab us and let the sips into the conference.
3. Wondering why our 4/5 star players are getting smoked by Arky 3 stars.
4. Watching Ole Miss roll up points like crazy while our offense can barely score a TD per game.
5. Waiting for BAMA to go in dry at night at Kyle (again).

And finally, watching as we graduate a ton of NFL talent (Spiller, Wydermyer, Leal, etc.) and have to fend off the sips and OU for players in Texas who just want to play in the SEC.

P. S. All while we have upped the salary of our coach to $9M a year, instead of giving that money to our Defensive Coordinator (who deserves it more).

A&M accepts mediocrity in their coaches. Always has. Always will. The BOR, BMAs, Chancellor, and President are clueless when it comes to negotiating contracts. They sit in their luxury boxes and are making deals wit China while the fans have to watch a piss poor performance by a coach and team. We will never win a SEC West title much less a natty until fans stop buyin season tickets. I did. It's not that hard to do. Get alife other than football. You'll be glad you did.
