This. There's no conspiracy, the one source of sip strength has been their boomer tshirt fanbase, which is now in its twilight years. Otherwise it's just another large school program with aspirations not met by reality on the field.

A&M is pulling half of its recruits from out of state, winning head to head recruiting battles with Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc...and the BAS infected here are worried about how a moribund program in Austin is going to impact in-state recruiting.

This is not 30 years ago when A&M recruited almost exclusively in-state save for one or two Louisiana kids.

The sip brand is dead. There's no energy, no life, nothing. What they had was a generation of boomer tshirt fans who are now dying off. The team and a large chunk of the student body think their milquetoast school song is racially charged. The best coach they can pull is a recovering alcoholic getting a second chance because he once spent a minute in the same locker room as Nick Satan.

What year are you living in OP? This isn't Texas A&M from 2004. Our budget, facilities, coaching staff, and leadership are operating to a different standard. Our recruiting advantage is those first three things I just listed.

Late 1990s/Early 2000s is a good guess. Many Ags don't seem to recognize the level this program is operating at. You'd think at least the high rankings would clue them in.

Also it's not just the SEC, which of course has been a major plus. The upgrade in facilities over the last decade has been huge. That is a big part of what attracted Fisher. Also I don't think Ags realize how well the A&M brand has done over the last decade. We're not pulling these high ranked classes, half with out of state recruits, without a good brand.

When I see threads like these I think it's an obvious sock troll. Or maybe there's more emo Ags these days.

Like I said, rewatch the Georgia game. We had a 21 point swing on missed PI calls both by UGA reciever and DB's. Hard to score when they let mother****ers grab your TE's jersey twice in key situations close to or in the red zone. What you have to do is next time on defense a wr goes on a route and you tackle the ****er five seconds before the ball gets there. Then turn and look at him and say, "you gonna call it both ways now right *****." Or, Jimbo can do that last part lol. Better yet any cheating by official you jump offsides and hit the QB right in the mouth/nuts. Get somebody tossed and say we're gonna keep doing it until you stop the bs.

It never ceases to amaze me how bad the BAS is on these boards. You brag about how deep A&M's pockets are and then shake in fear at the deep pockets of Texas that they may potentially use to cheat, as if we couldn't do the same now. You talk about how pathetic the sips are and how they can't beat trash teams but then worry about them rolling in here and beating us and stealing our momentum. Or how they're gonna steal our recruits even though a month ago the tune was how Jimbo could out recruit Sark with his eyes closed. You talk about how we tossed them a lifeline as if they couldn't have survived as an independent with the freaking resources they have.

I wasn't an A&M fan when Texas pulled all their crap, but it's been clear to me we've been on a championship trajectory. I don't think we'll be hurt just because some scumbag, cheating, has-beens have joined the conference. They'll try to mess us up as much as possible but we've got some serious power on our side too for once. So either start believing A&M is what you talk about it being or buy a crappy orange shirt
