All discussions took place without the knowledge of Texas A@M.

The navet shown by those in favor of this makes me shake my head

Even with us clearly leaps and bounds better than tu, the sip run media in Texas would have you believe we were even.
You take away the SEC advantage and the media will have every blue chip recruit in the state convinced sip is where to go.

We don't know that for sure. Sharp and Banks have been silent.

Because out of 2 million fans there are some whining, sniveling, panty-waisted idiots out there that know how to use social media. Then the pro-sip media picks up a handful of quotes and runs with a made up narrative.

I undersand being POd, upset, not liking it, etc. But how would UGA react if FSU and Clemson were joining? How would FL react if FSU and Miami were joinnig?
The gentlemen's agreement would be followed if t were a Florida or Georgia getting hosed against their wishes.

If Notre Dame called up and told the SEC they wanted in but they had to bring one of Georgia Tech, Miami, or FSU do you really think the conference would say "sorry Georgia/Florida wouldn't like that" and hang up the phone? Hell no it wouldn't. They'd be getting those two in stat just like they are here.

We were so close. 9-1 and the only SEC school in Texas with tu about 10-15 years from NEVER being able to recover and here we are. Lifeline in play and we have our own calling this a great thing. Well. On a positive note, we are quite used to it and should not surprise a soul.
You are completely delusional to think that a school with the resources of Texas would never be able to recover if they were kept out of the SEC. I'm sorry but that's just never going to happen. They have the money, the history, and most importantly the boosters who want to win to always be lurking around the corner. The fell back b/c they made some bad coaching hires, not b/c we joined the SEC. It's no different than what happened here when we hired Fran to replace Slocum.

Yet in spite of those advantages they sucked. Even have their own network. Lol

The sips are desperate to the point of wanting to be in the SEC. We'll see how they take to playing a real schedule for a change. Grab your popcorn.

Sharp is the biggest snake in the grass here with the exception of a espn executive maybe, guaranteed he knew what was going on.

As I said, they made bad coaching hires. You can have all the advantages in the world but if you hire the wrong coach it's not going to matter.

Why did the make bad coaching hires? Because their first choices didn't want anything to do with the toxic culture on the 40 acres, that's why.

They made bad coaching hires because they weren't able to money whip good coaches. They weren't able to money whip good coaches because it's a toxic environment and a tough conference sell that isn't outweighed by the advantages you think they have.
