We want to pretend that we'll somehow beat out sip and okie for blue chip recruits without the SEC advantage, that we'll continue get great TV ratings even though everyone's looking ahead to playing them next week and not us today. That if the SEC didn't respect us by doing this they'll ever care about our opinion on anything

Great facilities, coaching, opportunity, fan base, NIL potential as good as any. A&M will be fine.

Well, you finally erased your failed CWS post as your dumbest one ever.

As I've said in other threads, we were catching up with them prior to 2012, and since then we've lapped them. Just look at who each school has at the helm of their football teams. Sure the gap between us will shrink, but who cares? We just need to work harder now.

You think SEC exclusivity is what has us on solid footing? Didn't we just fire our coach a few years ago while we had SEC exclusivity? Jimbo is the reason our program is in great shape. That isn't going to change just because a team that has had a bunch of 5-to-7-loss seasons in the Big 12 over the last decade is now admitting that they were wrong about everything when we left their conference. I'm not saying I want them to join, but them joining isn't going to ruin our program.

sips can't win consistently in the Big XII-II+II. imagine the amount of whining from that fanbase when the reality of a SEC schedule exposes them week after week. this is all about their internal conference politics, no way they make a move that makes things harder for them. it'd be very off brand and atypical, to say the least.

That is all that matters. You will still have the recruits who grew up wanting to go to one school or another. But recruiting changed entirely with NIL. Think SMU legalized. Think golden trans ams completely normalized legally. That and Jimbo is a damned good recruiter.
