This is all about money and the SEC preparing to be the strongest and richest of the four power conferences that we will see in the future.
The good news is the SEC will probably have five of the twelve playoff teams every year.

Agree with all this except the part I changed. Now that the race is on to 4 super's...it'll be a 16 team playoff imo

Very likely. But, it would it would be dumb to decide to take four from each conference. I hope they never do that.

I hope not either, but we're getting NFL lite so I fully expect it.

PS, I can't believe A&M didn't know about this.

Doesn't this whole thing just prove that tu needs us more than we need them?

Yes. We were right to leave big12. Now they are gravy training because they can't stand A&M having anything nice.

So after the Brent Z article all of these beat writers have some "inside sources" that these conversations have been taking place for 6+ months and nobody mentioned anything till the Houston Chronicle broke the news this week? Not buying it at all !
The tu pundits I listened to discussing this said tu folks were told to "sit" on this. They blamed friendly A&M media for leaking it to try to ruin their deal. They know they have the 11 votes.

Yea, they all knew about a potential earth-shattering college football story and chose not to get a ton of views and clicks. Sureeeeeeeee
they knew early July from what was stated. Be naive if you desire. Look at the facts as they are.

I think it's "naive" to believe sip beat writers and to believe all the stuff out there on twitter are facts.
To each his own. Sippy is confident and assured this is done. They talk amongst themselves out in the public and are absolutely giddy about screwing A&M's SEC advantage. Why would they lie about that?

If Sankey was in negotiations with UT and OU for six months and left us in the dark, he should be fired. If this is true, the SEC culture has been revealed to be a lie.
Cannot be repeated often enough.

Maybe this is why he wasn't pushing for us to get into the playoffs. He was already in bed with the sips.

I can. If they knew during Big XII media days last week, they would have leaked it then and blew it up.

Funny quote from Bowlsby at the end of the their media days, he laughingly thanked the press for not asking him any questions about realignment for the first time since he's been commissioner.

I don't trust that guy.

Did someone ask him about his upgrade thoughts?
