Surely the hangers on will not sit idly by. I mean us leaving was one thing, they were still assured of a place in a P5 conference. If the sips and ou leave now, there is no seat for most of them. I don't see this coming off without total political and legal warfare.

Time to dispel another myth. Nothing can stop Texas and OU from leaving the smaller schools behind. Texas and OU are massively politically connected in each state. If they are this far along it's a done deal.

This very well could be true. But crisis situations make for strange times. I am thinking there are avenues both politically and legally that are yet to be travelled.
