the bright side to this would be:

1. Watching Baylor, Tech, etc, wander off into the wilderness trying t find a home in the WAC.

2. Watching Texas horrified to wander into conference meetings and find that, instead of being the big boy in the room, there are 6 others just as big as him in there.

3. Watch in BDF try to add Houston and SMU and cry UPGRADE!

There are many hurdles tu has to overcome and it will take a few years of heated discussions with select parties to figure this all out. For now, it is nothing more than a red herring and a trendy topic segueing into the fall season (just around the corner).

I'm not worried about competing with tu on the field. The problem is the same as welcoming Californians to Texas. They've screwed up everything in their state then come here and demand the same crap that caused their downfall before. This is what tu has brought to every conference they've been in.

It's not about tu and Oklahoma but rather did A&M enter into a conference that is just as low dealing and corrupt as the SW Conference and Big 12. Money does not excuse everything.

There is no bright side to OU and t.u. joining the SEC, as far as Texas A&M is concerned. Any additional monies will not fix the media love fest of t.u. and recruiting devastation that would ensue, which would lead to Fisher's "I'm out" and in 3-4 years, we are the Vanderbilt of the SEC West. Remember when Rice had that "huge" stadium in the 70's and nary a team to put in it? Welcome to KYLE.
. If you really believe this then you must not think much of Jimbo and what has been built at your school. You must believe your program is built like it was when A&M just rolled over and took what the horns said. It all comes down to winning. A&M continues to win until the sips join and no amount of media spin will cause them to surpass A&M. Kids do not care about the sips past. They care about now and what they see. The sips past May have scarred some of yall but Jimbo does not scare as easily as yall.

Everything that the sips predicted about us going to the SEC has been wrong.

EVERYTHING.

After all their "Harvard on the Prairie" BS about quality of education, at the end they knew they were sucking hind teat for years while A&M made the headlines in the SEC.

They have become jokes in national media.

At they end they show they are pathetic $ *****s we always knew they were.

Education smack? Please. A few years of journalists not sucking you off in every column and the elite educationalists decide maybe there's something to the backward football conference after all.

Why? Because there's something in it for them.

Do you think they want yo be partners in the SEC?

Have they ever wanted equal partnerships? In anything?

No. They are self absorbed and entitled @$$holes who are trying to bring their @$$holery to our house.

Why would we save them at all?

Let them burn in their irrelevant little regional hell.

If it happens, they should be probationary members for the first 5 years, getting only 10% of what everyone else gets.

They will start self dealing as soon as you let them in.
