Is there any limit how much an individual player gets "rewarded" for their likeness?

Spiller won't produce shiit in this conference without quality OLine play. Yet I don't see anyone offering $50k to interview the starting OLine.

Over time, if this whole paying players thing isn't effectively managed, its got a chance to divide a locker room. On both sides of the ball.

I just always felt connected to the athletes. They chose A&M just like I did. They had multiple full ride offers, but for whatever reason, chose to come here. Now, it just the highest bidder. So it changed my outlook. Same reason I don't watch professional sports. No one on the cowboys is from Dallas, or chose to live it Dallas. Just don't feel connected to that at all.

You're right, it was just straight cash for the rest. Nobody likes to hear they're naive, but you're naive. Any decently ranked player has been getting monetary considerations for their commitments for a long period of time now.

Now it's just more money. Boo hoo.

Happy for Spiller and Richardson. Hope more of our players get legally paid now as well. Change is here. No choice but to embrace it or be miserable and whine about it.

this is where things get tricky.

when a business approaches the university or athletic department with interest in an NIL opportunity...will the business be pushed toward using a player that doesn't currently have an NIL deal or toward a female athlete. In order to show equality and such

Somebody needs to open up a private crop dusting business that just drops plastic bags full money on Kyle field after each game.

I mean who the hell even cares anymore, they're not going to come down on anybody. SEC can just give each player a standard salary from revenue from tv contracts.

Anyone who listens to ESPNU radio on Sirius, this has been a topic of discussion on 2 different shows so far. It's $20k for national exposure. I'm sure Mark Packer will mention it as well.

Well your thought of avoiding it is stupid because it's not going anywhere and TexAgs did something that could benefit the team a lot. I'm not a huge fan of the way NIL has been done but it's here so we need to figure out how to benefit us.
