Not that big of a deal deal in terms of the game but it always amazes me when things like this happen just before a big bowl game and how willing some are to throw it away.

What a fool. He is a 4 star rec, and has a good future in front of him if he is smart. But idiots just piss their good fortune away.

That will probably be the end of his career here. That's his second arrest in a short time. Shame, I was excited when he committed to us.

"There is no booking photo of Morris. The Burleson County Sheriff's Office said the camera was down during the time he was being booked in."

I thought stuff like this only happened at tu. I'll be damned.

Evading in a vehicle is a far cry from not 'complying with their opinion'.

Also, evading in a vehicle is a felony charge. They also hit him with a reckless driving charge.

Is being pulled over an "arrest?"

Maybe it should be "evading a traffic stop?"

Arrest seems to presume there was already an arrest warrant or cause for arrest before the evasion. Not really defending the guy for evading police, but when evading arrest or resisting arrest is the only charge, it just seems like circular logic. Running from cops is dumb.

Making room on the roster. Sad that some people don't figure out where the trouble is coming from and DECIDE to stop.

A traffic stop is a legal detainment. If you run on foot, it's a misdemeanor. If you run in a vehicle, it's a felony.

Getting a ticket is a misdemeanor, where the cop can arrest if he so chooses. If he was driving recklessly to get pulled over, there's a higher likelihood that he'd get arrested.

Not giving up on him yet. He didn't kill, rape, distribute, or steal- which would be automatic goodbye. Let it play out before writing him off. Good luck to Chris.

I agree with you 100%, although we're definitely in the minority.

From what we know, I think he should definitely be punished in some form and put through rehabilitation classes of sorts. But kicking him out of the team permanently would be extreme.

Although, if Jimbo decides to kick him out after seeing the details for himself, then I won't argue.

A lot of Ags wanting to write this kid off without knowing anything. The article gives zero details.

Reckless driving amd evading arrest? After looking up 545.401 and reading the law, this could have been as simple as changing lanes without using a blinker and then simply not pulling over immediately when the red and blue lit up.

Or it could be that he was running other cars off the road and floored it when the woo-woo went off behind him. We don't know. And until we do, we should reserve judgement.

Agreed.

Pretty disappointing that this board is being like this, to be honest. For a group that trashes on platforms like Twitter for jumping the gun and doing the whole "Guilty until proven innocent" crap, people on here really seem eager to pull the trigger without learning of all the details.

We should all just wait and see until we get all the details or Jimbo makes his decision.

Well, I've had a cop ***** at me for pulling over immediately instead of going 1/4 mile to the next exit and a gas station and know others who've been threatened with arrest for doing just that. You never know. Some cops just feel a burning desire to be *** holes.

The difference between a career and flipping burgers is razor thin. Knuckleheads never cease to amaze me.

Buddy Johnson isn't a tremendous talent but he'll make money playing football simple because he wants to and is willing to work hard at it.

Two different cops from two different departments in less than a month doesn't scream burning desires to being ass holes.

What's the common denominator in those two situations?
