JFF, Hill, Kyler, Allen all leave and now Mond is thinking about coming back. What a world.

I hope the team is tight and several return to make a proper title run. If we can get the OL back, it's on!!

I have wondered if this is one reason Jimbo left several spots available for the second signing day.

I don't know why anyone would be surprised by this. My guess is he is a second to third round draft pick and was close to playing for a national championship this year so if he takes that next step next year he can potentially jump into the late first round.

In the unlikely event Mond stays & convinces his teammates to also stay, we'd be looking at our highest preseason ranking in 25 years

If he comes back it is because Jimbo wants him back and thinks he is the best quarterback for the team to win. It isn't like Kellen Mond is deciding who is the QB of the team. I can't imagine Jimbo leaving the option to Kellen unless that is what Jimbo wants. I know there are a lot of team dynamics and politics involved in who is QB, but ultimately I think Jimbo and the team coalesce around who they believe makes the team better and gets wins. If that is Kellen, I am fine with that.

Not really surprising. NCAA giving everyone a year of eligibility this year and if his draft stock isn't where he'd like it, why not come back and give it another whirl?

Need to look at the 2022 list as well, I'm not sure how many would be ranked over him. If it is a down year he could sneak into the first round where he would be making a decent amount more

I am one of the 90%

although I do not believe he is truly an "elite" QB (see the all SEC teams named last week and the lack of a certain Aggie QB) - if he want to come back for a 6th year: time to play the teacher dude in the mexican cowboy hat: "I'll allow it"

and i also do not believe he will be back
