Not to be argumentative but the odds of a freshman qb taking the reigns over a 4 year starter at qb are slim to none. Even if that qb is amazing. I do think King has the makings of a very good qb. Coaches kid, strong arm, fast, etc.
I guarantee whoever this board picks will be 1. the next Aggie football god 2. The greatest Aggie football bust or 3. he is the best we can have until the next freshman who isn't being used immediately.

According to ESPN - 1-4 good is pretty much accurate ... they say 5 has very little if any chance of playing with the 1-4 in the CFP!

That's... not how QB works as a position. King was a true fish this year, and while Mond hasn't been perfect this year he's brought us to a single loss record and the cusp of the playoff. He had two poor games this season against Vandy and LSU but has been good-great everywhere else.
Without spring ball there was no way in hell Mond wasn't going to be QB1 through at least the Florida game. Fortunately he showed us he's worthy of that spot.

King is exactly what Fisher has been looking for in a QB. He's been incredibly impressive in garbage time, especially in the growth between games one and two. He may be just good next year, but he's going to be great with more reps
