Wow! That was REALLY a gutsy call! And strange to see from Jimbo because it seems he is VERY conservative (although we were successful in going for it on 4th down against South Carolina).

I remember watching that, and said "FSU is going to figure out how to get this done."

I wanted Auburn to win badly, but there are 5-7 plays a game that determine the outcome. That one was clearly #1 in turning the momentum in that game.

I forgot how crazy that 4th quarter was. Of course they didn't call a clear horse collar on Auburn...

You should probably recollect that Dameyune Craig on the Auburn coaching staff knew their signals (Auburn player from 1994-1997 and FSU QB coach from 2010-2012.)

After halftime and they changed signals FSU stomped them. Jimbo said it was his own fault and you have to expect that every game.

That is what winners do. He saw that it was slipping away and went all-in on his best chance to stop it.

They were down 18. They would have been down more, but Auburn missed a 33 yd fg. His defense had defended 33 plays from scrimmage and there were 4 minutes remaining. They had only run 4 plays from scrimmage before the fake punt. FSU's drives up to that point:

-9 plays, FG
-3& out
-6 plays & punt
-3 & out
-fumble on 2nd play

Guessing Jimbo knew his defense was winded and didnt like his chances of getting a stop.

Was this after he stole the crab legs and before he did that weird thing where he pretends to eat his fingers?

There was a small group of people here on TexAgs that said that Jimbo is not as conservative as many on here said, and the only reason he was being that conservative during the 2018 and 2019 seasons was that the players were not that developed to make those kind of trick plays.

It seems like that group of people are having the last laugh, considering how we're being much less conservative this year.

Jeez though, 21-3 at the first half? I remember watching this game, but I don't remember it being THIS bad for FSU.

Jimbo's halftime adjustments are just off the damn charts!

As a coach, that is the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, last game of the season. You don't want to second yourself by not trying something.
